| The burnt out wharf through the gazebo. |
The weather continued to become overcast and grey until the rain came down. We arrived late to a few rain showers. Old hotel close to the boardwalk. The room could not be smaller or Kirk would not fit.
Gus had a layover for 12 hours so we meet him at Gatwick and headed to Brighton for some fish and chips. Gus's goal was to see the donut! We had a mission.
We found Gus!
And we found the donut .
One of the top 10 things to see in Brighton.
Found the palace.
Then it was off to a donut flight.
View of our hotel on the left of the green.
The beach at Brighton is all large pebbles, you could easily twist your ankle just trying to get to the water. There is no sand, I was amazed.
Off to dinner at the best seafood restaurant in town.
Then the drive back to Gatwick through many roundabouts and Gus was off to Greece!
Cheers!
The day ball never managed to make an appearance but it did not matter it was great to see Gus!
