Ok so they have a little strange language in Scotland but then they go and name things like The Firth of Forth over looking the Fifth. Yep try and say that one 3 times fast! That is the view behind Gus and I.
Here we are looking down the gun barrel on top of the castle.
Gus found a great flat through Air B&B. It is right in the middle of old town Edinburgh and on the 3rd floor, no lift, more climbing. You have to be in good shape to live in Edinburg.
The views were great but what they do not tell you is you get serenaded all day long by bagpipes.
OMG please let this end.
There is a statue of Hume, Phliosopher of empiricism, septicism and was an atheist but could never admit to it because of he church, they kill atheist back then.
Dinner out at the pub, Deacon Brodie's Tavern which is know for the inspiration of Dr, Jeckle and Mr. Hyde. The guy was a carpenter by day and thief by night. Delicious food and great atmosphere.
There is a lot to see, the town is covered with spires and domes, and strange looking domes missing the inside parts. This I was told was done to look like the Scottish crown. Then we visited the camera Obscura, that is the building on the left, we could spy on the whole city with a mirror reflection that rotated around the dome.
Charles and Gus headed up to the top of Arthur's Seat, which gave them a beautiful view of the sun setting above the Firth of Forth.
After a day in Edinburgh we were off to western Scotland.
